Jason Vanderheyden

National Director, Value Based Healthcare – Medtronic Canada

Jason is National Director of Value-Based Healthcare at Medtronic Canada, where he leads the company’s efforts to create new partnerships that improve outcomes for patients while lowering costs. Jason has extensive experience connecting the medical technology sector with policy makers and other health system leaders. Before joining Medtronic, he led government affairs at GE Healthcare. He also held leadership roles in the automotive sector and government prior to transitioning to the healthcare sector

In addition to his role at Medtronic, Jason is chair of MEDEC’s federal affairs committee, which helps advance cross-industry issues on Parliament Hill. Jason is also a board member of Research Canada, a national alliance dedicated to advancing health research through collaborative advocacy.
Jason has a master’s degree in Healthcare Delivery Science from Dartmouth College, and he completed his undergraduate studies in Political Science at the University of Western Ontario.
