In this complex, modern health environment, how can Health Canada evolve its regulatory approaches to enable access to new technologies while continuing to protect patient safety?
In this interactive session Health Canada leadership will discuss key projects within the department’s Regulatory Innovative Agenda, including:
- Modernizing the clinical trial framework, including implementing flexible, risk-based oversight to address the evolving clinical trial environment while ensuring continued protection for participant safety
- Enhancing Health Canada’s medical device oversight to accommodate the future state of medical devices
- Exploring a new regulatory pathway for advanced therapeutic products (drugs and devices that are so novel, complex, and distinct that current regulations are not equipped to handle them)
